Periodically on my triple screen system when I hit the Windows Key to bring up the start menu, all that shows up is the user picture and the rest of the square is either blank or not even there.
I use this a lot, hitting the windows key, then typing the program I want. It works still, but just doesn't show up. So for instance, I can type "notepad" hit enter, and notepad will still run, even though the start menu doesn't render properly.
I am on Windows 8.1 Enterprise, 64-bit, triple monitors, latest beta of DisplayFusion, and Stardock Start 8.
Is this a known issue?
We haven't run into that before. Does this only happen when you open the Start menu on the non-Primary monitors, or does it happen on the Primary as well?

I can try to keep track. For instance, I just did it after clicking the link to this thread, which brought my browser into the foreground on my second monitor. I think hit the Windows key to open the start menu. This time (I love how inconsistent it is!) it opened the start menu box, fully legible on the second monitor, BUT the user icon was on the primary monitor! That made me laugh.
After lots of clicking and hitting the windows key, what is happening right now, when it doesn't work, is that the user icon will appear on the primary monitor, without the start menu rendering. But when I start to type notepad, the start menu will pop up on the screen my mouse is on, but still won't show the results of my typing notepad in the search area.
Ok, that's strange indeed! What version of Start8 are you currently on? I'll set it up here on a test machine to see if I can produce the same results.

I am on Start8 1.55 Registered. I also finally got some decent pictures of what is happening. In the dual screen picture, I clicked on the desktop, so nothing was focused, then moved the mouse to the second monitor and hit the windows key. You can see my "avatar" floating in the correct location on the primary monitor (left).
In the second picture I was able to capture the behavior when I type and nothing actually shows up, even though the results are there. When I hit enter in this case after typing notepad, notepad ran, which tells me it was there and focused in the start menu, just not rendering.
The second could be a Start8 issue exclusively I guess, but the first feels like an interaction of some type between Start8 and DisplayFusion. I can try a different start menu replacement to see if it does the same thing if you want.
