The start menu will not open on either of my monitors via click. In order to open them I have to hit the windows key on my keyboard. Here are my logs:

Can you give the new DisplayFusion 7.3 Beta 4 a try and let me know if it helps you at all?

http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/

If this doesn't solve it can you provide more information about your system (Windows version, number of monitors... etc)? Thanks!

This issue is occuring on 7.3 Beta 4. I have two monitors and I'm running the latest version of windows 10. My start menu is positioned vertically on the right side on both monitors. I'm not running classic shell, but I was at one point. The log file is attached in this post and the post I previously made.

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I'm still having the issue. Also I am now having an issue that was fixed in the previous patch. This is a link to the previous issue that I was having. https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/start-menu-and-taskbar-overlapping/?ID=6e93bd7e-cf3c-496a-85a3-9d5136f3cc22

I'm surprised that other issue was previously fixed, as we still have it open on our list. Must have been a coincidence. At any rate, we will let you know when we've fixed that up for real :)

Regarding the Start menu not opening when clicking, your original post mentioned that clicks don't work on the Windows taskbar on the Primary monitor either? If you exit DisplayFusion does it then work?

Yes, if I exit Displayfusion it does work. I use another program (Nexus Winstep) to disable the windows taskbar so that I have the displayfusion taskbar on both monitors. When I turn Nexus and Displayfusion off it works fine. I have to turn off Nexus as well because with it on the taskbar is disabled.

I use Start Killer for hide the start button on the main screen, maybe that cause the problem. But it was working perfectly along with Display Fusion before the 7.3 beta 4

Well the problem is I like to hide the ENTIRE windows taskbar, not just the start button.

Just a note: These issues are still occurring in the latest update. (Beta 5) I don't know if you guys were trying to fix these issues in this build or not, just figured I say something.

What about if you disable Nexus Winstep, and then restart DisplayFusion, does the Start menu open then?

Yes, it does open then. I've also turned off the setting in Winstep that disables the windows taskbar and it works fine. The only problem is that when I click the start button the windows taskbar slides out and overlaps the displayfusion taskbar. I've tried disabling the taskbar by using other methods like the one you posted here: http://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/anyway-to-make-the-df-pro-taskbar-override-the-windows-taskbar/?ID=3d0cad5b-2ab0-4b2d-acbc-cd2b45389c38#6 Still it just has the same issue as the Winstep option.

I tried install the Taskbar Magic, but it seems like DisplayFusion is having compatibility problems with other programs which make modifications of the taskbar.

Do you know of any other ways to get the displayfusion taskbar to show on both monitors and not conflict with the windows taskbar?

Ah ok, so basically, you guys are hiding the Windows taskbar with a third-party utility like Taskbar-Magic, then setting DF to show taskbars on all monitors in the advanced settings? I'll test those steps out here to see what I can find :)

Ok, I've tested and confirmed this here. Hiding the taskbar isn't really a supported setup, but I will put this on our list to look at on a rainy day to see if there's anything we can do :)

Thanks!

Alright. Do you know of any other way to successfully get displayfusion taskbars on both monitors without them interfering with the windows ones?

There's another application called "Shy Bar" but I'm not sure if it would work any better than Taskbar-Magic.

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't work. What do most people do with "show displayfusion taskbar on both monitors" turn on do with it?

I'm not sure to be honest. That advanced setting was added in years ago for our own internal testing, and isn't really meant to be used as a feature :)
