I have the following setup: Primary Monitor resolution 1920x1200 (external), 2nd monitor 1600x900 (laptop screen)

When using the start menu on the 2nd monitor, the top of the start menu extends beyond the top of the screen, as in the attached image.

I'm using the native start menu and DisplayFusion 6.1.2. The problem has been present at least as long as I've had DisplayFusion (around version 4)

I couldn't find any settings that seemed relevant to this, so I assume this is either a bug or a limitation in the software.

Is there a workaround for this?

Unfortunately it's a Windows limitation that we can't code around. Since Windows 7 doesn't support the Start menu being on anything except the monitor with the native Windows taskbar, it opens at a size that fits on that monitor before DisplayFusion can move it. So, if the Start menu is too tall for the destination monitor, it's not possible to resize it before or after moving it :(

The only work around would be to remove some of the pinned items to reduce the size of the Start menu.

Sorry for the bad news!

I suspected that was the case. Thanks anyway!
