2 HighDPI monitors used side-by-side, each on its own video card. Start10 menu icon on secondary monitor is offset and very large. Clicking anywhere in this region is intercepted and treated as a click on the Start icon.

This has been happening for a few versions now and others reporting similar issues havent resulted in cures for me.

See attachment for full screen cap (both monitors)

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab

Thanks! It looks like you've got the "Start button scale" option in the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings window set to 200. Could you try clearing that advanced setting, then apply the settings and restart DisplayFusion?

OK... almost there. Now it is too small. Its about the size of a tool tip icon instead of the expected size of the start button (about the same size as an application running icon).

See attached.

Ok, can you try setting that Advanced Setting to something like 1.5? 1 would be the current size, 2 would be double the size, so you'll want it somewhere between 1.0 and 2.0. You'll need to restart DisplayFusion each time you change the value of that setting.

OK... I set it to 2 and it looks about right but the positioning is off. See attached.

Yeah, weird! I wonder why it doesn't align to the bottom when the scale is changed. I will add this to our list to fix up as well :)

Thanks!

Hello,

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

It seemed to be fixed on Beta 5 but it reverted to the broken behavior in Beta 6. In Beta 5 the icon was slightly blurry and out of proportion to the main Windows 10 start button icon, but was properly aligned. In Beta 6, its back to how it was for the last 2+ years.

Hi Jason,

Ah sorry, I didn't realize there were a few different issues going on in this thread.

What should be fixed up in beta 6 is the alignment issue when using the advanced start button scaling setting. Is that issue still persisting in beta 6?

That's interesting to hear the other issues seemed to be fixed in beta 5. I've attached a link to roll back to it below. Can you confirm those issues to be fixed again after rolling back?

Thanks!
