In prior releases (9.1), I could switch the active window to the secondary monitor (from monitor #1 to monitor #2 and back) on the Windows taskbar but that seems to be no longer the case (at least for the free version). Does the current release require a pro license now to use this feature?
When you say you were switching it using the Windows taskbar, do you mean that you were right-clicking the taskbar button, and it had the "Move Window to Next Monitor" function in the jump list?
DisplayFusion has never added that to the Windows taskbar, but it's a feature on the DisplayFusion taskbar on the second monitor. The DisplayFusion taskbar is only available in the Pro version. Would you like another 30-day trial key?
