Scenario: Suppose I have chrome opened in one monitor and word opened in another. I just finished typing something in word and then I want to switch to the other monitor to the chrome window and click ctrl-t to open up a new tab and search something. Is there a hotkey to switch between the active windows of different desktops.

preferably, I don't want to have the alt tab show all the windows, just the windows of a desktop so I'm wondering if a hotkey can do this.

This might be possible with a Scripted Function. We'll see if we can do up an example for you :)

Thanks! Are you referring to a scripted function inside displayfusion?

I was able to put something together that should work for you. It's a script that focuses that last active window that is on a different monitor. To use it, here's what you need to do:

  • Open the Settings window to the 'Functions' tab, and click the 'Add Scripted' button
  • Paste the code in the file attached to this post into the window that pops up
  • Give the script a name, set up a HotKey if you want, then press 'OK' to save the script to your computer
  • Click 'OK' or 'Apply' in the Settings window to have your changes take effect

I hope this works for you!
