I use DisplayFusion from a notebook hub at my desktop to dual monitors. I frequently disconnect from the hub when I take my notebook with me. When I open the notebook, half of the desktop from the dual monitor configuration displays which is fine, but when I reconnect to the hub, DisplayFusion forgets what the desktop should look like and looks all wonky. How should I be dealing with this? Thanks for any help you can provide. - Charles

Are you referring to the desktop wallpaper images?

Yes, I use a widescreen photo to span dual monitors. When I disconnect the notebook from the hub and use its screen, in essence, the image is cut in half (which is not bad). But when I reconnect the notebook to the hub, the image spanned across the dual monitors is messed up and I have to load the original widescreen image again. Is there a way that it can remember what it looked like prior to disconnecting from the hub?

Thanks for your interest!

DisplayFusion should be automatically fixing the wallpaper when it detects a monitor configuration change. Which version of DisplayFusion are you currently running? And could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:

  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!
