Hi, I have a very annoying bug with switching profiles.
My Setup:
1x 1440p monitor
1x 1080p monitor
1x 1080p tv
I use two profiles:
1.) My default profile with the two monitors enabled and tv disabled
2.) My TV-Gaming profile with the two monitors disabled and tv enabled
I switch between them with 2 different hotkeys (though for this issue any way of switching has the same result).
When I go into TV-Gaming and Switch back to default while the TV was still turned on, everything is fine.
But when I am done with gaming and turn off the tv first, then go to my pc and activate the default profile, then I get that famous prompt that the profile was made for a different amount of monitors. Result: Only the 1440p monitor is active, the 1080p monitor is disconnected (in contrary to what the profile should do).
Can you try creating a third profile for the 2 monitors enabled when the TV is powered off? When the TV is powered off, the monitor IDs will change, which will cause issues if the profile was created with the TV powered on. Having another profile with just the 2 monitors should do the trick
Even when I turn off my TV it's still being shown as disabled in the profile menu. I cannot create a third profile that is in any way different then what I already have.
So when you're on the Default Profile with the TV off, the DisplayFusion Monitor Configuration window looks exactly the same as when the TV is on? (shows 3 monitors?)
That "Disconnected monitors are locked" message just means you can't drag it around in the configuration without enabling it first. If you select it, and choose "Enabled" from the drop-down and click Apply, does it work?

Oh yeah, that does actually work (enabling it I mean). But I want to avoid that, as this will extend my mouse to a "blind" screen also sometimes opens windows on the tv then, which at this point is turned off.
Yeah, definitely not a solution, just a troubleshooting step. So you enabled the TV while it was off, then loaded your Monitor Profile and it worked fine?
Ah ok. In the DisplayFusion Settings > Advanced Settings window, if you enable the "Monitor Configuration: Use Classic Get/Set Functions" option, then save new Monitor Profiles, are you able to load those successfully?
