Since I upgraded to windows 10 there has been some stuttering in-game that I have noticed but not cared much about, but now that I bought a new TV to have over my 3 monitor setup(a total of 4 1080p monitors/tv), the stuttering is now much worse, it was only really noticeable in-game before, but now its noticeable while watching youtube/twitch.

I figured i'd see if some software was causing it, logically I chose to disable displayfusion first and all stuttering disappeared, even the slight stuttering I've had since I upgraded to windows 10(I did a clean install).

The stuttering is random but there rarely goes over 2 minutes without it.

Is there somthing in the software that is known for causing this I can disable, I really like some of the functionality and I would like to keep using it, but right now it isnt worth it for me to use it.

Could you try this build to see if that resolves the stuttering?

That seems to have fixed the issue, however "Prevent window deactivation" doesnt seem to work now.

Perfect, thanks! It's just a test build to see if we're on the right track to figuring out which part of the code is causing the stutter. I've added your info to the open ticket for this issue, and I'll be sure to let you know as soon as we've got it sorted out properly :)

Thanks!

It seems like the effect is less in version 5.11.

Ok guys! Would you be able to give the following a try?
  • Update to 8.0 Beta 5
  • Exit DisplayFusion, and import the "01 TimerTest1 and 2 Disabled.reg" file from the attached ZIP, then start DisplayFusion up and note the CPU usage (it should still be bad)
  • Exit DisplayFusion, import "02 TimerTest1 and 2 Enabled.reg," then start DisplayFusion and note the CPU usage (it should be better)
  • Exit DisplayFusion, import "03 TimerTest1 Enabled.reg," then start DisplayFusion and note the CPU usage (is it better or worse than "02 TimerTest1 and 2 Enabled.reg?"
  • Exit DisplayFusion, import "04 TimerTest2 Enabled.reg," then start DisplayFusion and note the CPU usage (is it better or worse than "02 TimerTest1 and 2 Enabled.reg?"

Thanks!

Not sure about my testing methods, to import I just exit displayfusion and double click the .reg files, right?

All those seem to be identical, idle on desktop displayfusion is at 0-0.3%, moving a window around I can get it up to between 14-16% on all of them, my processor is an i7 4770k if that helps.

I'll try using it for a while just to confirm there is still an issue, havent tried any versions since I uninstalled back in november.

Edit: Tried, issue still there.

Ok, you might be running into a different issue then. Could you start a new topic, and include a debug log from the latest beta?

Thanks!

Hey all! We've just released 8.0 Beta 6 with some changes for this issue. Can you try it out and let me know how it works out?

Thanks!
