I am a Pro User.

When I go to the task manager, I note that Display fusion has dozens and dozens and dozens of entries with the subheading Helperwin. Each one of those eats up from .4 to 4mb of memory.

Why is this happening, and is there a fix in the works?

Windows 10 user.

Wow, that's definitely not normal! There should only be 2 of those. Could you send over a debug log?
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

OK. Sorry for taking so long. I almost forgot the help request as soon as I went to work.

Here is the info requested. Every time the background changes, it makes a new process, and the old processes don't quit.

I don't see the attachments, sorry. Could you try attaching them again?

I swear I sent the logs last time. It took a few days for the situation to come back up.

I can't see the board accepting both attachments. So I'll resend DisplayFusion.log

OK. So, I'm guessing the board isn't accepting the first attachment Browse - button?

OK. I give up. I Don't see it accepting DisplayFusion.log attachments, no matter which location I attach to.

That's strange! How big is the file?

At the moment, only 6.7mb (And yes, just tried to send the file again!)

That's really bizarre. Can you try zipping it and attaching it?

Thanks! If you disable the "Use the current Desktop Wallpaper" option on the Settings > Windows Logon tab, then restart DisplayFusion, does this issue go away?

So far the issue has stopped. I'll keep an eye on it.
