Hi,
I'd like to have the sticked/attached Taskbar Windows persistent. Sadly they disappear, whenever the Window is closed.
On the windows taskbar it stays normal. But on the DF-Taskbars, it shows just the active windows.

Is there an Option that I did not see?

You can pin them to the DisplayFusion taskbar by right-clicking their taskbar button when they're running, and choosing "pin this program to taskbar."

Hope that helps!

thank you for your response. yes, I did "pin" them to the taskbar.
my question is: why do the icons disappear when the program is closed?

They definitely shouldn't disappear when you close them if they're pinned. To clarify, you have them pinned to the Windows taskbar (primary monitor), DisplayFusion taskbar (second monitor), or both?

thank you keith.
to clarify, here is a screenshot:

Problem 1: Pinned Application-Icons disappear when Application closed = no difference between pinned or unpinned
Problem 2: as u see on the left side. sometimes App-Icons are not fully "loaded" this happens with my autostarting Chrome-App-Windows.

Thank you for investigating. You are a great guy :)

No worries, thanks for the kind words! Could you backup your settings and attach them? (Settings > Options > Export)

Thanks!

Can you try this out to see if it fixes the disappearing icons?

  • Right-click the DF taskbar
  • Navigate to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Combine with Taskbar Buttons
  • Do the same on the other DF taskbar
  • Restart DisplayFusion

Keith, thank your for investigating.
Now I haven't used my PC for over a month and I have formatted my system.
After the installation of DisplayFusion and loading of the settings-backup it works fine.

If you want to, I report more "findings" in this thread about the pinned shortcuts behavior?

Kind Regards,
tygi

No worries, if it's all working now then that's great to hear! If you do run into trouble again, just let us know :)

Thanks!
