Hi,
I'm using the latest beta version of DisplayFusion (v9.0 beta 3).
As you can see in the screenshot, the taskbar on my second screen suddenly loses it's tray icons. Kaspersky is the only icon which remains and I can interact with all "invisible" icons like if they're there.
The second issue is that DisplayFusion sometimes starts to get very RAM hungry. It takes up to 2,5 GB of my RAM - without any reason. This happens randomly from time to time, as of now, I was not able to reproduce this behavior.

Anyone else facing these problems? I hope there'll be a fix for them soon.

Windows 7 64-bit Prof SP1 with latest updates.

Those two problems could potentially be related. Could you send me a debug log for this? Here are the steps:
  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Hi Mr Lammers,

as I said before, so far I was not able to reproduce it actively. It occurs 'sometimes' when I'm playing games like Overwatch, but not every time.

Ok, no worries, could you just leave debug logging enabled, and send over the log the next time it occurs?

Thanks! One more thing, can you do the following the next time it occurs?
  • Open the Windows Task Manager, Processes tab
  • Click "View > Select Columns"
  • Add the following columns: Handles, Threads, User Objects, GDI Objects
  • Let me know what those values are at for DisplayFusion.exe (before killing and restarting it)

BTW: Killing and restarting is necessary since DF becomes fully unresponsive to any kind of user input.

Thanks! We actually had the same thing happen here (User Object leak). We're not 100% sure how we got it to occur, but we'll keep working at reproducing it again. If you come across any common steps that seem to create this issue, definitely let us know. Otherwise, we'll let you know when we think we've gotten the issue all fixed up :)
