After updating to v11.0/11.0.1, the icons on the secondary and third monitors are non-responsive. I cannot select/highlight an icon, right click does nothing, left click always displays the entire taskbar context menu but no menu for the icon itself. Unable to move between windows from taskbars.

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

I had to revert back to 10.1.2 version but will reinstall the upgrade again and see if it still occurs and follow up with you.

Reinstalled 11.0.2

13:50 - right click on GetDiz icon on monitor 2, context menu for screen pops up.

13:51 - right click on Snagit icon on monitor 3, context menu for screen pops up.

13:52 - left click on TT RGB Plus icon on monitor 3 to come to front of screen, nothing happens [this is the same for any icon left-clicked on monitors 2 and 3]

13:54 - left click on TT RGB Plus icon on monitor 1 (main monitor) and the app comes to the front of monitor 3 (where it should)

13:55 - run function 'Move Window to Different Monitor (shows monitor selector)' Win+Apps hotkey from any monitor and although the monitor selector appears I have to use the mouse to select a monitor, pressing the corresponding number key does nothing. NOTE: Other functions, such as center a window, resize window do work on all the monitors.

Thanks for the instructions.

Thanks for sending that over. If you exit Start11, does the issue persist?

I totally disabled Start11, same problems exist. I also disabled DF taskbars and used Windows11 taskbars and had the same issues of not being able to use function hotkeys to move windows between monitors.

Would you be able to do the following?

The next time it hangs, open the Windows Task Manager, click the processes tab, then right-click DisplayFusion.exe and choose "Create Dump File" and send over the dump file?

Thanks!

v11.0.4 resolved the function issues. The issues with taskbar icons on monitors 2 and 3 remain. DMP file will not post, it is 601MB in size

I discovered something by accident. If I left-click an icon on the Monitor 2 or 3 taskbars nothing happens (as previously reported); however, if I left-click and hold it then the window comes to the front as it should. I am using the latest install of 11.0.5. The right-click on an icon still does not display the context menu for it but I am satisfied with the upgrades.

Are you able to send the dump over something like WeTransfer or Google Drive?

I apologize for the long delay in responding, been ill. I must have done something wrong the first time you instructed me to do this as that DMP file was 600MB and this one is 48MB. I have also attached a recent Minimal Log in case it may be helpful. For the Minimal Log the times of the issues noted are:

13:36 - right click on GetDiz icon on monitor 2, context menu for screen pops up.

13:37 - right click on Snagit icon on monitor 3, context menu for screen pops up.

13:38 - left click on TT RGB Plus icon on monitor 3 to come to front of screen, nothing happens [this is the same for any icon left-clicked on monitors 2 and 3]

13:38 - left click on TT RGB Plus icon on monitor 1 (main monitor) and the app comes to the front of monitor 3 (as it should).

The DMP file is 48MB and would not upload even though under 50MB. I zipped it, hopefully it makes it way to you.
