I am trying to add taskbar shortcuts and can only add them to one monitor. An external monitor to a laptop. Shouldn't I be able to add them to both monitors or is it not possible to customize the default taskbar.

You can add shortcuts to both taskbars, but it's a bit different for each one.

For the Windows taskbar on the Primary monitor, you can right-click a Start menu item, desktop icon, or running button for a program and choose "Pin to taskbar."

For the DisplayFusion taskbar on the non-Primary monitor(s), you can right-click a running taskbar button and choose "Pin this program to taskbar," or right-click the taskbar and navigate to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Edit.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. Follow up question.: I cant seem to manage the primary monitor in the same manner. Example - set the items I have pinned to the right. Is this a limitation or am I missing something

DisplayFusion can't alter the behaviour of the Windows taskbar on the Primary monitor, unfortunately. However, it is possible to replace it with a DisplayFusion taskbar as well. It's not a supported feature, but if you'd like to give it a try, follow the steps in post #6 here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Discussions/View/anyway-to-make-the-df-pro-taskbar-override-the-windows-taskbar/?ID=3d0cad5b-2ab0-4b2d-acbc-cd2b45389c38#6

Hope that helps!
