Hi there... I just installed the trial version of DF 9.6.1c. When I add a taskbar to each monitor and set it to auto-hide, those taskbars start to blink when the monitors are set to fade. I've found a number of posts in regards to this problem, sadly none of the provided solutions seem to remedy my particular situation. Any help would be much appreciated.

I've attached a log file.

Thanks!

I was able to reproduce that behaviour here, but couldn't find an open ticket for it in our system. Could you link me to the other threads you found about this? I'll add them to the ticket I've just created.

Thanks!

Keith, thanks much for your prompt reply. First I would like to say, I think DF is one hell of a useful program. If I can get this situation figured out, I will definitely purchase.

As for an open ticket. I'm new around here, so am not quite sure what the proper procedure for tech support is. I didn't open a ticket, but simply did a Google search and found a number of threads about "blinking taskbars" in DF, going back to the late 2000's. Here's a more recent thread (first search result).

None of these previous threads seemed to solve my particular issue.

PS: I'm on Win 7 64bit SP1

No worries! The taskbar blinking can be from a number of unrelated causes, so just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something we've already logged in our system.

We'll definitely let you know when we're able to get this one sorted out :)

Thanks!

Not sure if this helps to pinpoint the issue, but I discovered last night that, if I run a video player (YouTube, Windows Media Player, VLC) in fullscreen, the taskbars on the faded monitors stop blinking. As soon as I exit fullscreen mode, they start blinking again.

Last night I noticed that the blinking stops not only when playing a fullscreen video, but also when non-video applications run in fullscreen. I used Adobe Lightroom in fullscreen and the blinking stopped (until exiting fullscreen).

Hope this helps to narrow down the problem. Thanks for your help, Keith.

We've just released a new DisplayFusion Beta version and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
