On df 11.b2 on win10, taskbars would suddenly stop responding. Only fix is to quit DF and restart DF (couldn't find a way to ask DF to just restart the multi-monitor taskbar component).

We have this on our list to look into, we'll let you know if we have anything further on it going forward.

Thanks!

I have the same issue, the other way to fix when this happens is to disable and then re-enable multi-monitor taskbar via the right click menu on the status tray icon. Unfortunately, since you have to right click and navigate the menu twice (disabling the taskbar closes the system tray menu), it's almost faster to just close and restart DisplayFusion instead.

We've released a new beta that should fix this up, you can grab it here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/. Please let me know if you run into any issues after updating.

I still see the same issue after updating to Beta 3, where the taskbar will lock up until I close/reopen DisplayFusion or Disable/Enable the multi-window taskbar. I'll see if I can grab logs the next time it happens.

Same issue with locking. I have been experiencing for last 2 months, including beta 2 and agin today on beta 3. I created a powershell script to kill and restart display fusion.

Could you send me over a debug log from Beta 3? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
