I'm curious if there are any plans the Display Fusion developers can reveal to us about possible new features in the works to help keep Display Fusion relevant when Windows 8, which features multi monitor taskbar natively. I'm aware that DF has a lot of other value added, but the taskbar is the main reason that I and some of my coworkers have purchased it. I've always been impressed with DF and I hope my investment into the cost of the license will continue to have a return after Win8. For at least one coworker, the window snapping feature is enough to keep him using and recommending Display Fusion in Windows 8. That wouldn't do it for me since snapping is a feature I disable.

In short, can we hope for some new goodies? :D I would hate to see improvements in Windows break the business plan for a developer I have come to appreciate.

While I can't provide details of what we have planned for the future, I have tested the multi-monitor taskbar in Windows 8, and it's not nearly as customizable as the DisplayFusion one, so I think many folks will still prefer the DisplayFusion taskbar over the built-in Windows one :)

We will also continue to enhance the existing features, and add others that we feel will be useful even in Windows 8, so no worries there :)

Hello There,

I still have to reply to another thread I was on earlier. However, I have installed and configured windows customer preview 8. After doing the installation and turning off the additional toolbars on other screens I installed DF. However, it continues to crash after you set up a screen saver. Should I be using the beta versions for testing or are we not at that point yet? I do own the product and will be using windows 8 from now on. Just curious if there is any near future possibilities for DF on windows 8 customer preview?

Thanks!

There were definitely a few things broken in DF when the Windows 8 CP was released, but we've fixed up a lot of them in 3.5 Beta 8. We're still working on some smaller issues, but the majority of the features should now work.

So, in short, you can definitely run the 3.5 Beta versions in Windows 8 CP, and if you find any issues, feel free to let us know! If you could start a new Discussions topic for each issue, that would be fantastic.

Thanks!
