I have downloaded DF Pro 8.1 (Beta 2) today and now the small Move Window (to the other monitor) button partially overlays the normal Minimize button on the top right hand of the window rendering it unreachable. It does not happen with all windows just certain applications. I am attaching a small image illustrating it.

Does this still happen after a full reboot? It seems like DisplayFusion might be reading the wrong monitor scaling value for some reason.

I have rebooted as suggested and it actually got worse because now the DF icon is overlaying the minimize button on every window. Without the reboot if an application that displays something to the left of the minimize button (e.g. Chrome the logged in username) DF correctly placed its own icon.

Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

What scaling level are your monitors set to in the Windows display settings?

Whatever the default values are. See the attached screen shots. The second one simply shows the sort of physical monitors that I am using.

Ok, could you send me a backup of your settings? You can do this using the Export button on the Settings > Options tab.

Thanks!

Hi Keith,

Sorry for the tardy reply. I have been out of the country for the past 3 weeks. The problem seems to have gone away after the following steps:
1) Applied the latest November Windows 8.1 updates
2) Re-installed DF 8.1.1

One of the Windows updates must have corrected something that DF uses. I cannot think of any other reason. I don't want to waste your time anymore than I already did, so close this issue please.

Thanks,

Lajos Szoke
