If I go directly from a window with a titlebar button, to a game in borderless windowed mode the titlebar button will remain on top of the new window permanently, until I switch to another window.

Shown here:

IF I switch to a window without a titlebar button before switching to the borderless windowed mode window, it works fine.

Just something been nagging at me for a while now since launching a game from steam without going to another window after launching the game, but before it opens, will cause this every time... :|

I should note that I'm using the latest Beta build, but it also happens with the latest stable build.

Does this only happen with Steam? We weren't able to reproduce this here, but we noticed that you're using a custom skin for Steam. Could you send over a link to download that skin, and also send a screenshot of your Ark video settings?

Sure thing, The skin is called Pressure, it's a pretty popular one:

ARK settings:

It does indeed seem to be only steam that it happens with, however it still happens for me with the default steam skin. :(

It only seems to do it if I click on ARK from the steam window, or when I launch ARK through steam. Doesn't seem to happen if I just alt+tab from steam to ARK. Very strange...

Also seems to happen with other games:

Ok, thanks! Could you also attach a copy of your troubleshooting info?
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Sorry for the way long delay on this! Would you be able to send over a full debug log? Here are the steps:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L2: Log Detailed"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Thanks!

I started reproducing the issue a few times at about 6:27:30am(H:M:S)

I also would like to note that I've noticed it occur with other programs now also, such as Mod Organizer for Skyrim.

Edit: Whoops! Just realized that is not the file you asked for... I added the correct files now!

I started reproducing the issue at about 9:43am, but it seems the timestamps in the log are alightly different?

I just wanted to follow-up and see if you're having the same issue with the new, DisplayFusion 8.0 final? Thanks!

Yes, I can confirm that it does still happen in version 8.0.

We weren't able to get anywhere on this with the logs, and weren't able to reproduce this here still. Can you list some other games that you can reproduce this with? I don't have ARK here to test with :(

Ah! One thing I noticed in your troubleshooting info is that DisplayFusion isn't running elevated. If you exit DisplayFusion, then run it as administrator, do you still run into this issue?
