When I log in as user "Alpha" and export my settings (to a .reg file), I can see the file seems to have the info I'd expect (using Notepad++).
When I log in as user "Bravo" and restore from that file, I get nothing.
Note: I do see what appears to be references to a specific user in the .reg file and am wondering if this is preventing me from doing what I'd like:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion\DesktopIcons\28dee12d-4130-4e06-a85f-d23ffb0e3bbb]
"Name"="IP:1x4K (175%: Conf Rm)"
I would really like to be able to move my (Pro User) settings from one account to another. Is this possible?
Hi Ed,
Are you double clicking the .reg file to load it in, or are you importing it through the DisplayFusion Settings window?
Thanks!

Hi Owen,
I (only) used the DisplayFusion Settings "Restore Settings" button.
When doing so, nothing (obvious) was reported as being a problem.
When I click "Restore Settings" and select a .reg file, I get a "trust" warning then I get a windows UAC confirmation dialog (that does say Registry File) and, after acknowledging that, all ends seemingly without error.

Hi Ed,
Interesting, if you exit DisplayFusion, double click the .reg file to load it, and then start DisplayFusion, do your settings load?
Thanks!

Ownen, are you saying you want to "Feed" your .reg file directly to Windows' registry editor?
Also, As mentioned in my original email, I see what appears to be references to a specific user in the .reg file. If applying this to another machine, will this work?
Ed
Hi Ed,
Yep that's correct. The reference to that user shouldn't have any effect here.
Thanks!

I finally got back to this. And yes Owen, you were right. Running the .reg file into the registry editor, though uncomfortable, worked.
Loading the same .reg file via Display Fusion's Setting, which would seem the logical thing to do, screen didn't. Take care!
Hi Ed,
Are you loading that backup from a network share?
Thanks!
