I'm not sure if this is related to recently updating to Win11 24H2, but slideshow transitions aren't really working for me right now. Whether transitions are enabled or disabled, when changing wallpapers DF will turn the screen black then fade the new wallpaper in. It doesn't look terrible, but the smooth fade from one wp to the next looked much nicer. Is this an issue in 11.0.5, or should I just export my settings and try a reinstall?

Could you send me a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Sorry, I just saw your reply. I reproduced the issue at 12:22pm. Probably a Win11 issue, but who knows. Another concern I have is in the latest beta, resized wallpapers (images much larger than the display resolution) are jagged and not smooth like they used to be in the previous version.

On a side note, DisplayFusion is great... keep up the good work!

Can you open a run prompt and type in "SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe", and turn off "Animate controls and elements inside windows" to see if it fixes it?

Thanks for the kind words!

Well, it completely disabled the transition effect... which I suppose is preferrable to the weird black -> fade in effect that had been recently occurring. It just immediately flips my screens to new wallpapers.

If I can be of more help let me know!

I can't seem to reproduce anything here and I don't see anything strange in the log, are you able to grab a video of the issue?
