Well, basically the idea is this: having DF detecting if a monitor is turned on or off.
Windows by itself 'knows' if a monitor is on or off, so it should be possible.

Of course the purpose is to trigger different monitor configs depending on how many (and wich) monitors are on/off.

Would it be possible?

Thanks!

You can actually do this already with Monitor Profiles. If you save each different monitor layout as their own Monitor Profiles, you can then use the "Monitor Profile Changed" trigger event, and the "Monitor Profile" condition in the Match Conditions section of the trigger :)

Hope that helps!

So, let's assume this:

-2 monitors.
-2 Profiles (one with both of them, and one with only the left one on).

I go on Trigges, adding one using "Monitor Profile Changed" trigger event, in the "Monitor Profile" i select the 'current profile' (2 monitors on), in the actions i add the function "Load monitor profile: [the single monitor one]".

Ok, apply.

Then i manually turn off the right monitor.

The trigger should load the single monitor profile.
It doesn't do anything. :-/

Where am i doing wrong?

Thanks.

Ah gotcha, I misunderstood your initial request. What you're looking to do may not be possible. When you power off the monitor, if you open the Windows display settings, does it still show as being connected and enabled?

The monitor is there. Darn.

Sounds like you've figured out where I was going with that :)

If the monitor is still showing there, there isn't any way to detect that it's been powered off :(

Sorry!
