Hello, i have 4 monitors, 3 connected to a sim rig (each 1920 * 1080) and one on my desk (3440 * 1440). When i launched first time DF i have all monitor powered on, so i create 2 profile: a main profile with only the desk screen activated and the others 3 disabled; a sim rig profile with the 3 1080 monitor enabled (the central is the main) and the desk monitor disabled. If i load the sim rig profile it's all ok, if i load the main profile the 3 1080 monitor are disabled but it seems windows found something new (with the tipical sound of a new hardware plugged via usb) and windows is trying to extend the main to the disabled monitor, in this situation the pc is unusable. If i power off the 3 1080 monitors it's all ok. But i prefer keep them on and find a solution. Can you help me? I hope I was clear and sorry for my english.

Thank you in advance.

Marco

Could you send me a copy of your troubleshooting info when you have the main profile loaded? Here are the steps:

  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks!

Thanks for sending that over, it doesn't look like your other monitors are being detected so I'm not sure why it would be trying to activate them. Can you update to our latest beta, recreate your monitor profiles, and see if the issue persists? You can update via the DisplayFusion Settings > Options > Enable "Check for new beta versions", and then click "Check for updates now".

Thanks!

Hello, i update DF to latest beta, that not solved the problem because i found the monitors are the problem, i disabled the auto search input and all is ok. But now i have another problem... I setup a profile "Triple Screen", as before the ultrawide is disabled and the triples 1080 are active, i make the main monitor the number 4. When i load the profile (from main to triple) the main monitor became the number 3 (as in the attached screenshot) but i set number 4 as main. Can you help me with this? I attached also the log of the triple profile.

Thank you in advance.

Can you try recreating that profile with #4 set as the primary? We've adjusted our monitor config code in beta 18, so the profiles need to be deleted and recreated after updating to use the new code.

Thanks!

Hello! I deleted the profile from profile manager and recreated with number 4 as primary but when i load it from single ultrawide to triple the primary become number 3. I create also a profile with only number 4 active, if i switch from this to triple monitor number 4 remain as main.

We're going to make some changes in our next beta that might fix this up, so we'll let you know once that's released.

Thanks!

Can you try adjusting this advanced setting to 5000ms and see if there's any difference: https://www.displayfusion.com/AdvancedSettings/?Version=9.9.99.119#monitorconfiguration_delaybetweenmonitorstepsms

We've made some further changes in our latest beta. Can you try it out and let me know if the issue persists? You shouldn't need to set that advanced setting anymore.

Thanks!

You shouldn't have to, but it's definitely worth a shot just in case. Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
