I have an ultrawide monitor (49 inch samsung G9)
I like to use the middle of this monitor as a virtual 1440p monitor (2560x1440) and use the space at the sides as 2 smaller virtual monitors. This works great in general, however some fullscreen borderless apps using the middle section extend under the taskbar.
Displayfusion helpfully allows me to split the taskbar for each virtual section - very helpful.
It also allows me to hide display fusion taskbars -great as with this set up I want the taskbar on just one virtual monitor.
However, what it does not let me do is pick which virtual monitor the windows taskbar is placed on. It seems to insist that this goes on the middle section - which is frustrating for me as this gets in the way.
My ideal setup would be to have just a taskbar on the leftmost virtual monitor and none on the others. Actually - even better would be the option to enable or hide any taskbars as required.
Hi Michael,
You should be able to set the split the windows taskbar goes to in the advanced settings in DisplayFusion. You'll be looking for the setting labelled "Windows taskbar split monitor ID".
You can read more about that setting here: https://www.displayfusion.com/AdvancedSettings/?Version=9.7.1.106#taskbar_windowstaskbarsplitmonitorid
Hope that helps!
