I have been unable to change monitor configurations since at least 9.6. It does not work with hotkeys or with manually selecting the setting in Monitor Configuration. I get the following error:
"An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.
Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 31]
[System.Exception]"
The only way I can change the configuration is by manually deleting/editing the current monitor configuration.
I have updated the program multiple times to versions (both release and beta) that seemed to fix the issue for others. I also tried changing the Disable Application Hooks setting in Advanced Settings as was suggested. That didn't work either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Phillip,
We have some monitor config fixes coming out in our next beta. We'll let you know when it's released so you can give it a shot and see if it fixes your issue.
Thanks!

Same issue here, I get the same error code and everything. Used to work, but no go now.

I downloaded and installed beta 4. After restarting the machine (and before as well), I got the following error:
An error has occurred while applying your new Monitor configuration.
Please check your settings and try again.
Error: Failed to call SetDisplayConfig. [HR: 31]
[System.Exception]
Unfortunately, that is the same error. Any ideas?

What I am able to do is use the shortcut key for Nvidia surround, once it's on, then I use the shortcut key for DF to switch to setup. Once I am done, I use the nvidia shortcut again to turn it off, then use the shortcut for DF to put my screens back the way I had them and I don't get the error. Seems like I only get the error when I try to use DF shortcut to go to Nvidia surround before it is active.

@Troy: That makes sense. DisplayFusion isn't able to toggle Surround mode itself, so the extra step of disabling/enabling it first is needed.
@Phillip: If you re-save the monitor profile, does that make any difference? We've had a few other customers on beta 4 that still received the error 31 error, but after re-saving their monitor profiles they're working again.

deleting and resetting the profiles worked! Thank you again.
@Phillip: That's great to hear! If you run into it again, please let us know.
Thanks!
