I've been uprading to each new DF11+ version that's come out over the last few weeks, but every version I've tried (on multiple Windows 11 24H2 computers) won't allow me to run Remote Desktop.
I can launch RDP ok, but when I select a machine to remote into and click Connect, the login/credentials screen pops up for an instant and then disappears. It seems like it may be somewhere off screen because the main RDP window is still there, but I can't get focus of it, nor can I continue because the login/credentials screen is nowhere.
Shutting down or uninstalling DF11+ solves the problem. Reinstalling the last DF10.x.y also (still) works just fine, so I keep doing that.
Other details... I'm running these computers on 4K TVs at 3840x2160, 100% scaling, with a 2x2 monitor split. Tried rebooting, reseting and redefining the splits in DF11+, but my only workaround that has worked so far has been to revert back to DF10.
Just wanted to report this. I didn't see any threads here about this particular problem. Thanks!
It sounds like a DisplayFusion Trigger might be doing something weird there. Can you check in the DisplayFusion Settings window on the Triggers tab to see if you have any configured? Thanks!

Thanks Jon - Nope, no Triggers defined. I've never used them. Just confirmed that there are none defined, and the Enable Triggers button is also unchecked.

Thanks for the reply...
I've attached the zipped logs, created with logging set to L1. Log was cleared just prior to starting.
The time the issue occurs in the log is at 14:21:20 - 14:21:21. That's when I attempted to make a connection via RDP to a selected VM. The RDP security box flashes for an instant, and then goes away - nowhere to be found. Only option I've been able to figure out is to end RDP... and reinstall DF 10.

Thanks for sending that over. Can you add this app to the your compatibility settings in DisplayFusion, and turn on "Disable Application Hooks" and see if the issue persists?
C:\Windows\System32\CredentialUIBroker.exe

Thanks again... I re-upgraded to 11.0.5, went into Settings > Compatibility, Added C:\Windows\System32\CredentialUIBroker.exe to the list with the Disable Application Hooks (this application only) checkbox checked. Rebooted... Tried Remote Desktop again... and got the same results - where I cannot find/see the Remote Desktop window that prompts for credentials.

Just throwing out here that this isn't a universal issue. I've got multiple Win11 24H2 machines that I remote from all day long. My main (work) machine is running DF 11.0.5 and I connect to probably upwards of a dozen different servers a day, no issues.
Standard MSTSC, AVD Client (Preview), and Windows App all work as expected.
I'm not discounting your experience, just pointing out it's not something everyone is experiencing. You might consider creating a new user profile on your system to at least determine if it's something in your user settings (HKCU) or something system-wide (HKLM), for instance.
@RichardMcCoy In the DisplayFusion Settings > Window Management tab, do you have "Center child windows over the parent window" enabled?

Yes, I do. With Center child windows over the parent checked, the problem is there. When I uncheck it, the problem does not persist. Thanks for pinpointing this.
Note that this was/is not a limitation with DF 10.1.2.
Okay interesting, we'll add this to our list and see if we can figure out what's going on there.
Thanks!
