I currently have a 4k monitor, Split into 5 screens: Three on the top, two on the bottom. The three screens at the top have the taskbars positioned at the top so that they are at the edge of the 4k monitor. My issue is that when opening new windows in a program (Firefox etc), the titlebar of the new window will be behind one of the top taskbars so that I am unable to move the window, unless I use shortcut keys. Is there a way to prevent windows from appearing behind the taskbar in this way? For instance, if it appears behind one of the top taskbars, to automatically move the window down a bit so that the titlebar and its buttons are clickable?

This is to give a visual of the issue. I have the same setup as the above poster. It is workable, but getting an actual fix would be ideal. Any suggestions are welcome.

Could you try this out?

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Functions tab, click the "Download Scripted" button
  • Double-click the script named "Move Window to Current Monitor if it's Outside the Work Area"
  • Apply the Settings
  • On the Settings > Triggers tab, add a new rule
  • Use the "Window Created" event, enter *.* as the Process Filename, and click Add > Run Function > "Move Window to Current Monitor if it's Outside the Work Area"
  • Apply the Settings again
  • Test it out

Hope that helps!

Hey man! That worked perfectly! Plus, I'm gonna have to check out those functions.

Thanks again!
