Hey guys, images attached

say I have 8 monitor profiles (i have 3 monitors)
I created a default wallpaper profile with all 3 monitors enabled
Its the Matrix Code Rain video on each monitor, same source .mp4 file
When i apply this profile on a single profile it works fine, but as soon as i switch the profile, it becomes as you see in the image attached, the alignment screws up completely

I searched through this forum about this and i saw there was an "autofix" in the "wallpaper settings", that is already enabled

The only way that the alignment gets fixed is is i toggle sizing
by default i have it set to "fit best and maintain aspect ratio (clip edges"
i change it to say
"fit best and maintain aspect ratio (no clipping)"
change back, and its fixed

Anything else i am missing?

Using 10.1.1

Could you send me over the .mp4 file so I can test it out on my end?

its got nothing to do with the file but the behaviour of the alignment of the videos
ive seen other people who had these issues but that was years ago with older versions
in this forum at least
any .mp4 file would have the same results

i remember i also had this issue with images too, i was trying 10.0, around 5 months later (now) i tried again with newer displayfusion version, seeing if perhaps the issue is resolved but im still getting the same results

i mean i did find a fix (toggle clipping as mentioned in initial post) but surely there must be an automated way when changing profiles

With that auto fix setting enabled it should be preventing this, I played around with it on my end but couldn't reproduce it. Could you send me over a debug log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

bit of an update, my apologies for not providing the log you requested

But an instant way for the wallpaper to correct itself was just to restart windows explorer (its instant for me as i have a macro setup to restart explorer.exe)
