It simply doesn't work. Transparency cannot be set for the main Visual Studio 2010 window.

Thoughts?

We'll check this out and let you know as soon as we find something out.

Thanks!

We had a chance to check this out, and it looks like Visual Studio 2010 is just straight up ignoring the transparency bit, so unfortunately there's nothing we can do at the moment to fix it up :(

Sorry!

Do we know how VS2010 was written? Searching online, it sounds like it's actually a WPF application, so setting the standard transparency bit wouldn't work anyways. Though, I should build a quick WPF app and test transparency on it with Display Fusion...

Tested: I just built a quick WPF application and DF is failing to activate transparency on it. You may be looking at an ever expanding list of applications that will fail. Might want to discover how to fix this for all WPF apps in the future. Hope this steers you in the right direction. :)

Awesome, thanks for testing that out! We've tested a couple of WPF apps here as well and they indeed don't accept the transparency call. We'll see what we can do :)

Just a quick update on this, we unfortunately can't set the window transparency on WPF apps, but if we can find a way in the future, we'll certainly fix it up.

Thanks!
