Looks and works fine, but if your taskbar is on the top, and you right click the DF icon the context menu goes UP, which is NOT what it should do. Every other program goes down like they should. Just a note really, should be an easy fix for you.
O yea, DF doesn't remember where your install is saved... Unless it does so through the registry, then disregard this.
another little thing, I suggest adding a small wait time, around 3 seconds, to the apply button, IE if you change the taskbar behavior, it goes away and comes back in a short time, this could be confusing for certain users. IE me. Lol.. I thought it was a bug and the option was broken.
So many addons... Ive been away. What version of w7 is everyone using? Im still with build 7100, LOVE IT. Jon, I like the current implementation of moving taskbar icons, but to fufill my curiosity, is the smooth move from the normal taskbar being worked on? BTW, AMAZING job with the w7 support, and that color aura thing? Unbelievable.
Hey, bob,
I just bought a TechNet sub on the 6th and I am in the RTM - I will be installing Beta 9 here in a moment but I have had no issues thus far that Jon could not fix pretty quickly. The menu always going up - not a good thing lol...and as for DF an the install, yeah, it should be in the registry....
As opposed to a 3 second delay, I'd suggest a tiny dialog telling the user what is going on.....
I am I.

Some more precise info, my monitors are stacked, that is where the issue comes in. if you dont have the second above the first, it will do what its supposed to.
And the delay i was talking about isnt a eral delay, just a little icon indicating that you should wait a second before looking for the changes.

No way about the taskbar issue... That can't be... that would be so upsetting...
the delay? At current the taskbar takes 3-4 seconds to adjust to settings, in this time it totally disappears. My idea isn't a delay on anything, rather just the little windows, Hey hold on a second I'm doing what you just told me to. TOTALLY aesthetic, you could close the settings window just as fast. Its to dodge some confusion when playing with settings. IE, change the taskbar option and glance over at the DF taskbar for it to not even be there is rather odd. a little circle works perfect to avoid this.
An example of what I have in mind? Simply the loading page animation for the tabs in Firefox.
Ok, another little thing, this happens in all versions of windows, and it is NOTHING wrong with DF, rather its something that DF fixed and m$ never has. I am of course talking about taskbar hiding when a window is inactive. DF has it. Windows? doesn't. anyway you could get that working Jon?
O yea I tested some other .net apps, they have the same behavior for the context menu. May I suggest some option as to determine the behavior of this context menu? IE Force context menu in a given direction? for a later buid I guess, a little late into this one I would take it. unless it turns out to be that easy.
O yea, nice to have you back, and did you just change the tester and admin Icons for the forums?
