Since installing 6.0 betas I have had instances where the screens go to a black background. This is still happening in B8, just installed B9, will keep an eye on it. It is always both screens that are affected together and I am only using images that worked fine in V5

Ok, thanks for letting us know! Would you be able to enable debug logging, and send over a log the next time it changes to a black background? Here are the steps:
  • Enable debug logging on the Troubleshooting tab (set it to Logging: Important Only) and click Apply
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue (please note the time so I'll know where to look in the log file)
  • Attach the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files to this topic (can be found by clicking the 'Open Log' button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending me the log

Thanks!

Here are the requested files. They were copied immediately after the screens had recovered. I'll add another reply to include the DebugInfo.txt file.
• Attachment [protected]: DebugInfo.html [99,782 bytes]
• Attachment [protected]: DisplayFusion.log [1,822,628 bytes]

Thanks Pete! Is it the entire screen that goes blank? Or just the desktop wallpaper? (i.e. are the taskbars still there when this happens?)

Also, could you try disabling the "Use transitions when changing wallpaper" option in the Wallpaper Settings, to see if that makes any difference?

Just the wallpaper - toolbars, icon all still visible. Made the change to the settings, will let you know if the problem continues.

First impression - changing the transition setting seems to have fixed the problem. It seemed to be associated with larger files and I now have one of the larger jpg's displayed as a wallpaper that I don't think I've seen since the problem started - again not a totally scientific experiment!

Ok, interesting! When the transitions were enabled, did they actually work? i.e. you would see the new image fade in during a change?

Just wanted to follow-up with you to see if you're still running into this issue with the latest beta (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/). If you're still having trouble, please let me know :)

Thanks!
