I have two monitors on my home configuration and I will switch to home monitor profile. Then I will go in and select the Desktop Wallpaper Setting I want for home. Occasionally, after a few minutes, my Desktop Wallpaper Setting will revert to the previous setting. Couple of notes:

1. I do not use "Manage Monitor Profiles" to set Desktop Wallpaper. These are all blank.

2. If I go the icon tray and try to set the wallpaper back, it will not go to my new settings. I think this is because the system thinks the wallpaper is already set. If I go into the Desktop Wallpaper Dialog, the selection on the screen does not match the current wallpaper.

3. The only way I can get it to go back to where it should be is to select a different wallpaper setting, then go back and select the one I actually want.

Not sure why this is happening.

Additional Information

After playing with this, I basically got DisplayFusion hung. It was trying to apply wallpaper settings and never came out. Even the context menu on the tray icon would not process anything. I could not exit or bring up any sub menus. Basically had to reboot to resolve.

It sounds like the desktop window isn't refreshing properly at some point. The next time the wallpaper images are incorrect, could you try right-clicking the desktop and choosing "Refresh," and if that doesn't help, try killing and restarting explorer.exe using the Windows Task Manager?
