Hey guys. I re-downloaded DF and everything was working fine for a bit. Now the only thing that is wrong is the transitions from one wallpaper to the next. Instead of a smooth one it abruptly cuts to the next image.
I've had the problem once before and fixed it somehow. Don't remember exactly what. I've already tried uninstalling DF fully but it has not helped. Any suggestions?
On the DisplayFusion Desktop Wallpaper window, could you click the "Wallpaper Settings" button (next to the OK button), and make sure the "Use transitions..." option is enabled?
Thanks!

Thanks! We'll check out the log and keep you posted on what we find.
The log shows that the Windows function we're calling to perform the transition animation is failing. Unfortunately there's not detail as to why that is.
Would your machine happen to be on a corporate domain with a group policy that controls the wallpaper or active desktop settings?

Nope. Personal Computer at home.
Ok, the debug log doesn't indicate the specific error code, so we're going to add some extra logging info for the next beta. I'll let you know as soon as it's available so that you can send a new copy of the log.
Thanks!

Thanks Ray! The log is showing an access denied error when trying to set the wallpaper using IActiveDesktop (the method used for changing the wallpaper with transitions in Win7 and higher).
Are you able to set your wallpaper with the Standard Windows Personalization settings window without any issues?

Oh hey, I got it working!
Went into %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\ And just deleted the slideshow and transcoded wallpaper.
Works now, transitions smoothly like it should. Thanks for bearing with me the last month, lol. You're freaking awesome, man.
Wow, interesting! That's great to know. I'm glad you were able to get it sorted out, and I'll definitely keep this solution handy in case any other customers run into the same issue.
Thanks again, and have a great weekend!

Yeah man. It was as soon as you asked if I could use the wallpapers regularly without DisplayFusion. I couldn't, so I guess I figured the problem from there.
Awesome stuff man. Have yourself an even better weekend.

I know this is reviving an old thread, here... But, this fix still works for Windows 10.
