Hi, I let you know about this bug before, I was able to catch it in a log file. When I have a Windows explorer window open and maximized in a split it periodically crashes, in windows event viewer there is nothing displayed. In the log file it happens at 3:09pm and 3:13pm. Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately there isn't anything related to the crash in the log :(

To confirm, the File Explorer window is open and maximized to a split, and it just crashes sometime later without doing anything specific?

And this doesn't happen with any other apps, or if the File Explorer window isn't maximized to a split?

Yes that's exactly what happens. I tried unloading DF from running and the crashes went away. For some reason it's only in one particular split I have.

Wow, that's very strange indeed. As part of my regular workflow, I always have File Explorer maximized to a split as well, and I've never run into this issue :(

Is it only File Explorer that crashes? Or does the Windows taskbar seem to reload as well when this happens?

Also, when it crashes, does it hang first and then close? Or does it just silently close out of nowhere?

It definitely is the entire taskbar crashing, it hangs for several seconds and is unresponsive, then the entire taskbar and explorer crash. I find it most often if I'm copying or working with file between 2 windows, maybe explorer to explorer, or maybe uploading files to a website from explorer. If I just leave the window alone then it usually doesn't crash.

Ok, that's good to know! We have a beta coming next week that has a hooking fix that I think could be related here. I'll follow-up when it's available so that you can try it out.

We've just posted 10.0 Beta 13, could you give it a try and let me know if you still run into issues with explorer.exe crashing?

Thanks!
