On a secondary taskbar, I have one pinned application (Chrome App) that when it opens is not "tied" the pinned taskbar icon. What causes that? The website is HTTPS, does that matter? I have a feeling that it does (as that's the only different that I can see and other Chrome Apps work fine).

The Chrome windows should group correctly. Can you try clearing the URL from the "Metro (Universal) AppID" field in the shortcut?

No effect. I have this exact same configuration (machine, OS, even monitors) on a second machine and it does not do that. Also, no other Chrome pinned icon on that taskbar does that. Weird. Very annoying. I've tried deleting it and re-creating it and nothing.

Can you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info when that Chrome app is open?
  • Open the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the "Copy to Clipboard" button
  • Paste the text into a text file (please don't paste the text directly into your reply, the formatting gets garbled and makes it difficult to parse)
  • Reply with the file attached

Thanks! It looks like the URL is changing after the site is launched. Could you try updating the shortcut to use https://www.rememberthemilk.com/home/laurin1/ instead of https://www.rememberthemilk.com/app/?

If that still doesn't work, could you send me a new screenshot of the shortcut properties, as well as a new copy of the troubleshooting info while that shortcut is launched?

I'm not sure where you see that, because https://www.rememberthemilk.com/home/laurin1 does not work at all (that's a link to their old UI), this link is the only link that works:

https://www.rememberthemilk.com/app/#today

In the troubleshooting info it listed that URL as the AppID for the window for some reason. Could you backup your settings and attach them here? I'll restore them and try this out myself here. If the URL is generic like that ("/app/") I should be able to test it out with my account using your shortcut.

Sure, and again, the settings are the same on my other machine (I use http://www.rememberthemilk.com/app/#today) and I don't have this problem.

Ah, I see the issue! It looks like the old /home/laurin1 URL is still cached in the registry. Can you try the following?
  • Exit DisplayFusion (important!)
  • Open regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Binary Fortress Software\DisplayFusion\Taskbars\1
  • Clear the value for Shortcut3_CachedAppID
  • Start DisplayFusion and try it out again
