Confession: DisplayFusion has more options than a cornered politician and I did *not* read them all.

All I need is for the Windows 8.1 START page to span two monitors.

The native Windows 8.1 Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display\Screen Resolution "Extend these Displays" option seems to work on everything but the START page. The START page appears to be limited to the primary monitor.

It would speed things considerably not to have to scroll a desktop START page when there is the luxury of spanning multiple monitors.

So can DisplayFusion convince the Windows 8.1 START screen to span multiple monitors?

If so, where in DisplayFusion are the requisite settings?

Nope Sorry It cant, though thinking back on how the new start screen is designed (to be very wide), It would actually be a pretty decent feature ;P

Perhaps Microsoft opted to confine the START page as they have because horizontal scrolling through options makes sense on a tablet or handheld. Knowing where the viewing area boundaries are would seem to simplify programming to detect "swipes."

Horizontal scrolling, however, hardly makes sense on a multi-screen desktop, so being able to horizontally expand the Windows 8.1 START page sure has my vote!

I'm not sure if it's possible, but I've added this to our feature request list. We'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to implement it.

Thanks!

Not yet, sorry. It seems to be a technical limitation in Windows 8.1 :(
