I've noticed that my monitor profiles no longer update properly when I switch among docked at Home/undocked/docked at Work. Sometimes the proper profile is selected, but it's not implemented because the wallpaper does not update accordingly. Today, for instance, my profile is set to Work, but DisplayFusion should be detecting and using Home. I checked to see which profile was selected, and it appeared that none was. I manually updated and the wallpaper updated.

Also, these triggers to remember window positions between profiles stilldo not work, and I copied exactly the recommended script.

Frankly, I'm getting quite irritated with how trigger functionality has replaced basic functionality. I sincerely hope triggers are improved and some basic functionality that users want and used to have (open app on specified window) is restored without having to configure triggers. I don't have the time to keep reconfiguring triggers only to find that they don't work. I want software that actually does some of this for me.

Also, can we please have a setting that turns off the DisplayFusion splash screen?

Thanks. I truly hope that I've missed something and there's an easy fix.

When the Monitor Profile isn't detected, are the monitors configured correctly still? If so, could you try re-saving the Monitor Profile, then see if it gets detected properly?

Regarding the Triggers, I'd be glad to help out with the save/restore window positions stuff. Could you backup your Settings (Settings > Options > Export) and attach them here?

We have an open feature request for a "basic" mode for Triggers, so I will add your vote to that as well. In case you're still having trouble setting up rules like the old Window Location rules, here are the steps:
  • Click Add to create a new rule
  • Enable the checkbox for "Process Filename" and select your application
  • Click Add > Move Window to Selected Monitor, and choose the monitor in the selector window that pops up
  • Click OK to save the rule

I still have difficulty with monitor profiles being detected. I have saved, deleted, re-saved, and renamed some monitor profiles.

I'll do more troubleshooting this morning. Honestly, nothing changed with the profiles; only the DisplayFusion version changed. Maybe after creation, one must manually select the profile in order for it to be autodetected subsequently. Seems illogical, though.

Side note: It seems that, in order for the window location save triggers to work, the default laptop profile MUST be named "Default". When I had it named it "Laptop only", the trigger wasn't working, and none of the others did, either.

Thanks for the advice. I'll update as I notice any changes.

Sorry for the delayed response! The name of the profile shouldn't affect it. After you rename it, does it show the new name in the Manage Monitor Profiles window?

Regarding not detecting the monitor profiles, when you open the Monitor Configuration window, does it show the monitor profile name in the top-left corner? I'm wondering if it's not detecting the profile, or if it's just that the Monitor Profile Changed trigger event isn't firing.

Thanks!
