We are aware of this issue and we have it on our list to look into. We'll let you know if we have any news on it going forward.

Thanks!

This issue should be fixed up in the latest beta, available here: https://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta. Please let me know if you still run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!

I'm now on 10.0 Beta 25 and it seems to be slightly broken in a weird way.
My monitor is split into 6 slices: 3 on top half and 3 on bottom half. The top half has the taskbar position on top edge of monitor and set to autohide.
Issue: The upper-left slice taskbar ONLY can't display over windows. Same thing happens even if taskbar is set to always show. BUT if I set that taskbar position to bottom, then it's fine can show over windows. The slice id is 2.1. So something wrong with the FIRST slice when the taskbar position is set to Top. The other slices are ok.

Strange, I was able to reproduce this on my end so I've re-opened it for us to look into.

Installed beta 26 and the issue is not fixed for me for slice 2.1. Did some more testing and only affects the taskbar when position is set for TOP or LEFT. On a rare chance, the taskbar is able to appear above the window, but then goes under after a moment.

Could you send me over a log? Here are the steps:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

I cleared the log, enable debug, and then immediately put my mouse over the 2.1 taskbar many times. I only had notepad++ on the slice to avoid potentially complicated apps like chrome or vmware or teams.

Didn't get a chance to try 10.0b27, but on 10.0.1b1, exact same problem exists.

It doesn't look like the log got attached, could you try sending it again? I'll send the steps again for reference:

  • On the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Click the "Export Info to File" button on the Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Reply with the file attached
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
