Please implement showing tasks hints when mouse is over DF taskbar. It just ought to show task caption complete text.

For example, I have always minimized foobar 2000 window running on secondary display where is DF taskbar works. So to know what is now playing I should to restore fb2k window, instead of just stay cursor for 1 second.

Attached screenshot showing hint when cursor is over Firefox task (left side is Windows taskbar), then no hints when cursor is over fb2k task (DFs taskbar).

Didn't notice that before! I've added it to our list.

Thanks!

Thank you!

With this and localized clock panel on DF's task bar it will be nice update.

Glad to hear it! Hopefully we'll be able to fix up both of those for one of the next few beta versions.

Thanks!

I'd try it - pretty native right now.

A small note:
Windows hints are showing up near 3 seconds, than hides;
DF hints do that near 8 seconds, than hides, than shows again and again.

Could DF hints be like Windows native are?
I believe that "hide hint time" value DF can read from registry. Not to show hint again is easy too. DF just should to check "does mouse was move from last hint showing?" and show hint if so.

P.S.: let me give an advise. If DF introduce something that Windows already have in some way, BY DEFAULT it ought to have behavior like Widows does.

Thanks Maxim! That's usually how we try to implement features, but we must have missed that detail. I'll test it out and we'll see if we can adjust the behaviour.

Thanks!
