When I started up my computer this morning beta 5 of DF started to lag the system rather badly. After managing to get task manager openI saw that it was DF that was causing this issue.

Another couple of issues I've had are:

The colour of the second taskbar didn't match the primary taskbar's colour. It should follow the same rules as the Windows taskbar.
The DF taskbar also didn't follow the style of the windows one for active program and instead showed a hideous bright orange colour for the active program.

I am afraid I've had to uninstall it for now and will wait for these issues to get fixed.

What kind of issues were you noticing regarding the lag? I had a problem with 10074 the other day where if there was any slight increase in CPU usage, DF or not, my mouse would start to stutter, and graphics performance was terrible. For some reason, just fully powering off my machine (not restarting) and powering it back on resolved it.

The taskbar colour and button appearance will be all fixed up for the next beta :)

Hi Keith

The only program according to Task Manager was DF and it was up in the 55% range so slowed the whole system right down.

I will gladly test out beta 6 when its available.

If you need to know my hardware specs I can provide those.

Sounds good! If you can test 7.2 Beta 6 when it's available, that would be great. Please send a debug log if the issue still exists in Beta 6:
  • On the Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal"
  • Restart DisplayFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the DisplayFusion.log and DebugInfo.html files (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log
