After the latest cumulative W10 update (I think!), DF is no longer starting at logon, even though it has been ticked to do so in general settings.
In the Win-logbook DisplayFusionService is making an "7000 Service Control Manager" error with an "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" (e few other programs show the same error, by the way) :x
Any ideas?

Do you have DisplayFusion set to run as administrator in the Compatibility settings for DisplayFusion.exe? If so, that will cause it not to run on startup. Windows won't auto-start any app that is set to run as administrator.

Exactly right. But what will the happen to the problem with the online wallpapers not showing on desktop if I remove adm-rights?

Removed adm-rights and now online pictures no longer changes :-[
Still getting the incident in the log "The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion" and a "timeout (30000 millisec.)"

Same issues here, (no start as admin invoked though) DF not auto starting at Windows start up, even though it's enabled. Using DFWallpaper and getting black screens with no wallpaper. Running Beta2

BTW... this is after doing an uninstall and cleaning out the registry via CCleaner and rebooting with a brand new reinstall of Beta2

For the wallpaper issue, can you guys check to see if the %USERPROFILE%\Pictures\DisplayFusion\Web Images folder exists, and that it has the proper permissions? Your user account needs to have read/write permissions on that folder in order for the online images to download correctly.
