There are rumors circulating that Windows 7 build 7600 has made it's way onto the internet. I don't have access to it yet through MSDN, but I was wondering if anyone here has had a chance to get it through alternate methods. :) If so, have you noticed anything different? Graphics, UI, any DF issues? Thanks!

I've got it (the 64bit version) and will install it soon. It's supposed to be the rock-solid RTM.

It's definitely very close to the finished product, but it's not known whether it's an RTM Candidate or the RTM itself. Either way, there's nothing I've noticed in it that breaks any DisplayFusion stuff.

@Atreus: Thanks, that's what I was hoping. If anyone else manages to get any experience with any of the 7600 builds (RTM final or otherwise) I would love to hear how it works for you. Thanks!

By the way, the latest leaked build is 7600.16385. Previous to that (the one that was thought to be RTM before we found out it wasn't) was 7600.16384. It's speculated by some that 7600.16385 may be the RTM, while others think that one more build may come out that gets bumped to 7600.17000.

Whereas, in a completely new and surprising move, M$ releases some code to help optimize Linux running on top of Windows (as in Hyper-V scenarios) so they can no make the new version 8000.20000.

(j/k folks)

In all seriousness, though, I am probably going to (finally!) get a Technet sub so I can start getting ISOs from M$ directly instead of having to peruse the net to find them....

just as a thought - I finally upgraded my parent's Vista-based Dell to W7 - they are almost ecstatic right now....

And as soon as I can convince them that dual monitors is more productive for them then I can get them to buy a second license of DF :P
I am I.

I've had nothing but good things to say so far about Windows 7 as well. I can't wait for the official RTM so I can finalize my testing and release DisplayFusion 3.1.
