The lock screen and the log on screen can be changed, but there looks to be no way to span 2 monitors with a dual screen wallpaper, so it's pointless for dual screen users. This was so easy to do in XP with registry edit as shown here,

for XP
hkey_users\.default\control panel\desktop
tilewallpaper = 1
wallpaper = whatever.bmp

So the only question is how can you accomplish this in Windows 7?

Here is the Windows 7 log on screen. You can clearly see my mouse on the secondary monitor. The lock screen looks and acts identical.

I Would LOVE if Display Fusion was able to fix this OS deficiency. It Looks Awful across a room when only one monitor is displaying. I've searched many forums for months and found NO tweak or 3rd party tool that can accomplish this.... Here's hoping ;)

We've looked into it in the past, and unfortunately it seems that it's impossible to do in Windows 7 :(

Sorry!

You say you've looked into this - would you be willing to go into detail about why it's not possible?

The other monitors are clearly on and active, since you can see your cursor on them (even a custom cursor). The OS is mapping cursor movement and outputting display data to those screens.

What is it about they way it's set up that prevents this from being possible?

[Note, I'm not asking this to demand you try harder, I'm asking because "It can't be done" is all that ever gets said. If I knew why I could put it to bed a little better.]

It's just not possible for a program to control what is displayed on the lock screen. There aren't any Windows APIs for it. The only reason we can set the background image on it is because Windows allows it to be set using a registry value :)
