Hello there,

Before updating to the beta, everything seemed to be working pretty well. After updating I found that when I reboot my machine with DF set to start at windows start, I never to get a login screen, basically it just turns the middle monitor on and off every like 5 seconds. Starting display fusion after I am in windows works just fine.

When I am gaming and using display fusion with Realmware BF3 Borderless I only use the middle screen for the game and not eyefinity since my video card might struggle a bit to run it and basically since I don't care for the multiscreen gaming, too much to see. However, when the game starts and I click on the minimized taskbar item, all 3 screens blink off and then come back and everything is as it should be. This did not happen in stable version.

I also noticed that in the new version, in the task bar that it shows what is running like on the main display ( not minimized apps, but the running apps near the clock ). I preferred the running programs in the taskbar only to be on the main display and not in the other taskbars, seems redundant. If you want to add a cool feature, allow us to put quick launch icons in the other non main display taskbar as shortcuts.

Program is great! It really is. Lots of features I will never use other then wallpaper, screensaver and a few other items. However, works great!

Oh yeah, after doing the update to the beta download I tried to reboot and my machine blue screened. If there is any testing you need me to do with a small utility or anything, please let me know.

Also, are there any suggestion for configuration when you are running windows 7 64 bit, ATI Catalyst and DF Pro? Seems like there are a lot of things meshing in those 3 apps/OS that are also being configured elsewhere.. If that makes sense.. Like this " Display fusion is controlling wallpaper and screensaver and indicated in windows display settings, but when you go into the amd control center you also have monitor configuration showing up as well as in windows, etc.. What I am asking is when using those 3 apps above should configuration take place in any specific place or it should not matter?

Kind regards,
Saxamo

Glad to hear you like DisplayFusion!

DisplayFusion doesn't run until after logging in, so it shouldn't be affecting anything at the Windows login screen.

You can disable the system tray icons on the DisplayFusion taskbar by right-clicking the taskbar and navigating to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > System Tray > Show Hide Icons.

You can also create taskbar shortcuts by right-clicking the taskbar and navigating to Multi-Monitor Taskbar > Shortcuts > Edit Shortcuts.

As for the blue screen, I'm not sure what would cause that. Please let me know if it happens again though.

For the wallpaper and taskbar configuration, I would suggest using DisplayFusion. As for the display settings, you can use DisplayFusion's Monitor Configuration feature, or you can continue to use the Windows Display Settings or the ATI Catalyst Settings. They all more or less do the same thing, and any of them should work just fine :)

Thanks!

Did you made any changes to the "Windows Logon" category in your DisplayFusion ?

I have also 3 monitors myself using a AMD Radeon HD 5870 Vapor-X and I never had the same problems like you, but I also didn't change anything to the "Windows Logon" section ( as I didn't found any useful and pretty wallpaper for it yet ;P ).

If you wish we can compare our DF- and CCC-settings, maybe there is something different or something else is causing your BSOD. You could also upload the minidump-file so I can take a look in it - maybe we can figure out what's causing the crash.

Hello There,

Your offer is a good one. So sorry I was not available I was 2600 miles away on business. If you are still available to do a quick setting check over ventrillo or whatever way you suggest I would be happy to discuss settings..

I got home yesterday, installed the beta 7 update and last night after playing some bf3 and turning off the machine it bluescreened again. However, just before the machine turned off it stated it was trying to force a close on the background ( wallpaper )

I will let you know what happens tonight when I play bf3 and shut off the machine with beta 8 now installed..

Thanks!

Sure, but I'm not sure if I have enough time for any voice messenger. So I suggest you just add me on Skype ( ch40z-lord ) and then we can compare :)
