Since installing the latest stable build of DP, I can no longer search my PC from Windows 8's Metro Start screen simply by typing immediately after boot. With DP installed, I have to hit the Windows key to go to my desktop, then hit the Windows key to get back to the Metro screen, then start typing my search entry. Or, I can hit Win+F and start typing.

Obviously, this isn't a disaster, as I now have to hit only one more key. But I do believe it's a bug, and you may want to check it out.

Thanks!

Strange! I haven't run into this issue here. Do you have the "Bypass the Windows 8 Start Screen" option enabled in the DisplayFusion Settings?

Also, do you have any third-party Start menu replacements installed, like Classic Shell or Start 8?

Hi, thanks for the quick reply!

No, I do not have the "bypass the Windows 8 start screen" option enabled. And I do not use any third party start menu replacements. Metro all the way!

All's well now. For whatever reason, the problem fixed itself. I have to assume it's something with the operating system, not with DisplayFusion.
