Would it be possible to resize the taskbar when an app is snapped so that the two don't overlap?

Attached are example pictures of the normal taskbar and display fusion taskbar.

It actually should resize so as not to overlap the snapped Metro app :)

The next time this issue occurs, could you attach a copy of the info from the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting info?
