Hi there,

I am a long time DisplayFusion user and I love the program!

Currently, I have a problem with my 3 monitor setup. When the energy saver switches off the monitors (pc is still running, no hibernation) and I activate the system again, all open windows move to different monitors. This is quite annoying, because I have to rearrange all windows to the previous state.

Is it possible, to prevent this behaviour with displayfusion?

System Info:
3x Samsung U24E850R
Graphics Card: nVidia GTX 970
Connection: DisplayPort

Regards
Achim

Hi Keith,

thanks for your respond. I set it up like it is mentioned in the guide, but it doesn't work as expected.

I setup a trigger with "Save Windows Positions" one Minute before the system shuts down the monitors. I get a windows notification from DisplayFusion, that the window positions are saved correctly.

But after waking the monitors up, I see activity, windows are switched to different monitors etc. but they are not brought back to the monitors they were on before going idle.

So at the moment I am having the same situation as before, as this is not workink as expected.

Regards

Achim

Could you send me a screenshot of the Trigger you created for restoring the windows?

Thanks, that looks good! There was an issue affecting the Monitor Profile Changed trigger event in 8.0, but it should be fixed up in the latest beta. Could you give it a try from the link below?

Regarding the scaling issues, some of the .NET controls don't seem to scale correctly when moved from a high-DPI display to a lower one. It's on our list to fix up :)

Thanks!
