Why/how is this a windows issue when it goes away after closing DF? I am getting tired of closing DF and its becoming useless for basic things now.

Here you go, pretty sure it has to do with alt tabbing but not 100% gonna test some I guess

Thanks! It's probably the right-side taskbar that's causing it. If you enable the "Troubleshooting: SetWindowPos: Disallow TopMost Calls" option in the Advanced Settings, then restart DisplayFusion, does the issue come back?

Seems like the advanced option fixed it but what is lost? I need to side by side to really tell but stuff feels a bit off sometimes
It mostly affects the titlebar buttons. Could you try another setting for me? Set the "disallow topmost" option back to default, and enable the "Troubleshooting: Force ToolTips to be Top not TopMost" option instead. Please restart DisplayFusion after making that change and then let me know if everything is still ok with that option enabled.
Thanks!

Sure can do, what else am I looking for? I haven't used titlebar buttons since I stopped WFH- I think I remember those going haywire last time I was testing all this- should I throw those back on to check them?

new option seems to break the taskbar (windows one) coming to front over games? Also triggered the game into a window for some reason from borderless- thats a new one for sure
None of the DisplayFusion options should be able to affect the Windows taskbar, so I'm not sure what might be happening there.
For the issue with the game, do you have the "Allow taskbar reloading while full screen" option enabled on the Settings > Taskbar tab?

No that option is off
I will test more with the taskbar coming to front stuff, probably more related to the game side of things...
I had another bug to report which needs another thread I bet, but have you all tried anything with a steam link? DF taskbar breaks through that setup

Yeah, that's a known limitation. DisplayFusion runs elevated, but Steam doesn't, so it can't send virtual mouse clicks to the DF taskbar. I'm not 100% sure, but running Steam as administrator may resolve that.

I was so annoyed with this issue recently. When this issue hurted me bad while doing a presentation, I decided to search for the fix. I ended up to this discussion thread and the advanced configuration seem to have resolved it for now. This issue was anyway not predictable so I will have to see if it indeed fixed the problem. The configuration I have changed is "Troubleshooting: SetWindowPos: Disallow TopMost Calls", as was suggested.
