I have a two monitor system including a 39" 4k display that I have split up into 5 smaller sections. It worked great for like this for a while, but at some point the windows stopped snapping properly to the split. They snap to be both larger and offset. It is almost like it is scaled by 110-125% or so and offset by 50 or so pixels to the right. The splits display properly in the config window, but even there it shows the window sizes as being incorrect (see attached image). The second monitor is full screen only, and works as expected.

The problem started when I switched the second monitor to be my primary display to better play a full screen game. When I switched it completely lost the splits altogether, and they have not worked right since I recreated them, in spite of deleting them and recreating them again already.

Any idea how to fix this?

Could you attach a copy of your troubleshooting info? Here are the steps:
  • Open the DisplayFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab
  • Click the Copy to Clipboard button
  • Open Notepad, paste the text, and save the file
  • Reply with the text file attached

Thanks!

Thanks! If you open up the Windows Screen Resolution Settings, click the "Make text and other items larger or smaller link," set the slider to "Smallest," then log out and back in, does that make a difference?

That helped but did not fully fix the problem. Now all the splits except the large one in the lower right corner work properly, that one still behaves exactly as before. And of course now my text is too small to read...

Edit: I also deleted the splits and recreated them one more time, still no help.

Ok, thanks for testing that out! We do have a few open items on our list regarding some maximize locking issues with specific split layouts. I've added your details to them as well, so when we're working on them, we'll make sure to test out your setup as well and get it fixed up.

I'll keep you posted as soon as we're able to get it all working :)

Thanks!

We've just released a new DisplayFusion beta version (http://www.displayfusion.com/Download/Beta/) and this issue should be all fixed up. Please let us know if you run into any trouble after updating.

Thanks!
